We stayed at this rustic campground for 3 nights. Although our days were packed full of adventures, the campsite was so peaceful and relaxing! It was just seconds away from Lake Superior - down about 125 steps and across a blanket of rocks. We spent a couple of hours at the beach - looking for special rocks and swimming. I don't think any of us really wanted to leave!
Setting up camp... Jim teaching Chris a couple "life lessons"
Just past the tree is a drop-off to Lake Superior - absolutely wonderful!!
Rarh!!
The boys wanted their bagels toasted, so Dad got the stove out... they actually turned out quiet nice!
Chris attacking some flies with our makeshift fly swatter - a stick!!
There were swarms and swarms (20-40) of black flies! Finally, Chris and I got revenge!
Mr. Michael the expert fire starter!
This here, is our "friend" Chippy - we all thought he was cute until we found out he had snuck into our
day-pack, opened the package of our CliffBar and nibbled on it! Sneaky!!
